About The Designer
Janet Torelli, a self-taught sterling tableware designer, draws her unique designs from architectural and organic forms. While some have found the influence of fine jewelry in her designs, Torelli sees her work as a marriage of functionality and contemporary elegance for the table. Janet Torelli’s ‘Swirl’ Tomato Spoon is in the National Design Museum in New York.
Janet is a party planner extraordinaire, chef and certified sommelier. She has taught cooking classes including grilling classes on the Big Green Egg.
She resides in Chicago, which provides a fertile source for her design ideas. She is a member of the American Craft Council and GuildSomm.
